WeinMessen, a family-owned winery, is famous for its delicious red wines, and their most recent offering was the world’s first white wine to reach the US market.
Its not just a wine, though.
The wines are also a way to showcase the brand’s love for the country, the Netherlands, and its culture.
“The name is part of the family, and we really care about the people of the Netherlands,” Weinmessens marketing director, Albrecht Dohrenwieser, told the WSJ.
“We want to show the best wine in the world.”
The brand has been in the spotlight lately as part of a new push to get its wines to the U.S. market.
In January, the company partnered with the Los Angeles Kings and Los Angeles Lakers to open a wine-centric restaurant at Staples Center, with Wein Messen’s beers and wines being served.
The move is part the company’s plan to open restaurants in the future, according to Wein.
“I think there is a chance of the next 20 years that we’ll be doing this,” Weins marketing director said.
But he also believes that it will be a long process.
“It’s going to take years,” he said.
“But at least we are starting.”
